WORSHIP

We are inclusive worship community.
That means ALL people. Whether you come to worship or participate
in our active church life, we offer a spirit of welcome to you.
You don’t need to know
anything in particular when you visit, yet below is some
basic helpful information. If you don’t find what you are looking for give us a call at 313-822-3456. Our hospitality is yours.

SERVICES

Every Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

During the July and August we offer a casual,
brief service on Sundays at 8:30 a.m. in Zaun Chapel.

We have a full liturgical calendar where we celebrate the beauty of Advent and Christmas, the sacredness of Lent and Holy Week and the calendar holidays that make life special. Please join us anytime for worship.

CHILDREN IN WORSHIP

We offer a safe, loving, and welcoming environment for all children and their parents. Children are welcome and encouragedto experience worship in three ways.

Children have different needs and worship activity bags are available. You can find them in the Tower Entryway (the doors found left of the pulpit).

Church School is also available during worship where  children hear a story, sing, dance, have a snack, pray and play.

Childcare is also available on Sunday mornings from 10:15 a.m. to noon with a nursery supervisor and additional volunteers. The nursery is located on the second floor accessed using the tower staircases.

NEW HERE?

Come as you are. You’ll see a range of attire among the church. Presence is valued more than attire. Come in a fashion that makes you comfortable.

If you have questions or need to find your way,  the Elder of the Day sits at a table in the Main Foyer of the church and is ready to help.

After worship, all are invited to share take part in Coffee Hour in Dodge Hall. Have a cup of coffee, a cookie or two, and enjoy the company of new church friends.
