YOU ARE WELCOME HERE
Jefferson Avenue Presbyterian Church is an open and inclusive church. We welcome all people, without exception, to participate in the worship and community life of the church. We affirm that God welcomes all, strangers and friends, as children of God. Our hope is that when you come to church, you feel like you belong here.
JOIN US FOR SUNDAY WORSHIP AT 10:30 A.M.
Worship Services are about an hour long. The church celebrates The Lord's Supper (Communion / Eucharist) on the first Sunday of each month. During July and August there is a second, brief and casual service of worship on Sunday mornings at 8:30 a.m. in Zaun Chapel.
GETTING HELP WHEN YOU VISIT
A church member is always at the Welcome Table in the main hallway. They are there to help you find your way.
WHAT TO WEAR
Come as you are! You’ll find a range of attire among the church — dresses, suit and tie, jeans and polo. Presence is valued more than attire. Dress in a way that makes you comfortable.
The church has a secure lot behind the building with two attendants. You can find the entrance on Burns Avenue. Park where you find space. Street parking is also available along Burns Avenue and Fischer Road.
ENTERING THE CHURCH BUILDING
There are several entrances to the church:
• You’ll see a walkway from the parking lot to the left side of the building.
• Access to the sanctuary is available near Jefferson Avenue around from the front of the church at the “Narthex Entrance.”
• You may also enter the “Tower Entrance” which are the double doors at the foot of the church building’s tower.
We are challenged with an old building and continue to work toward accessibility. Wheelchairs will find easiest access to the sanctuary (with no stairs) using the Tower Entrance. Look for signs on Burns Avenue.
CHILDREN IN WORSHIP
Children are welcome to experience worship. As children have different needs, worship activity bags with fun learning items are available in the Tower Entryway (the doors found left of the pulpit).
We offer a safe, loving, and welcoming environment for all children and their parents. Children are welcome and encouraged to experience worship in three ways.
